In the book of Acts we meet Barnabas who was an excellent example of a Christian mentor. He encouraged Paul and believed in him when no one else trusted him after his conversion. Barnabas did an excellent job in preparing him for ministry. In fact, Paul ended up being more prominent than Barnabas and by the end of their missionary journey in Acts 15:2, they were no longer referred to as Barnabas and Paul. Instead, they were now called Paul and Barnabas. Barnabas was sent to mentor Paul to go further than him. I believe some us are called to play the role of Barnabas. We too can be a source of encouragement to others in their journey through ministry leadership. And by God’s grace, we can point them to Jesus always and help them grow in ministry just as others have held our hands through different stages in our own lives.
So if you are a new worship leader with no formal training or even a seasoned worship leader in need of fresh eyes and ears...I can help you.
How do I teach a choir? How do I teach a praise team? What's the difference? What things can I do to ensure my own personal growth? What is a setlist and how is that assembled? There are so many questions....I can help.
The Barnabas Project is about coaching, equipping, and encouraging members of the music ministry community to really be seated and rooted in purpose. I can help or redirect you in vocal technique and expression. I can teach you the most effective ways to learn and teach music effectively and affectively with your your band, and to get the most out of your choir or praise team. You don't have to do it alone. You don't always have to learn it on the fly.
4...3..2..1.. Worship!
